There was silence....... I sat here waiting for the song to pick up, hoping it would explode.... but, at the same time I hated the idea of it exploding. And so I waited.... and it picked up, somewhere between soft and hardcore. It didn't damage the soothing integrity of the piece and it seemed to accentuate it. Overall, my internal battle was quelled and it was good....... 5/5 and a download

SPINAGE!!

ChronoNomad responds:

Reviewage! Gotta love it. I must say, sometimes it's a difficult decision about whether to keep things chill or jump the rails completely and blow up the beat at some point. This particular piece made that surprisingly simple, and the completed version felt so close to perfect that I simply had to let it stand.

I'll be honest,

I'm only here because the title had boogie in it, and that's what I do man, I boogie down. On a side note though, rain and clouds actually make me happay as opposed to sad! I think this is pretty good though, Jazz isn't really my thing, but I'll still show you some props! Have you ever heard of Tom Weights? That's a crazy ass jazz musician! 5/5.... again.....

ChronoNomad responds:

Jazz isn't something I do a lot of, but I do love to jump outside my comfort zone on a regular basis and push the envelope. Y'know, rain generally makes me feel pretty good, too...unless it's been raining non-stop for days and days. There was like two solid weeks of nothing but rain when I decided to make this, and by that time I was pretty well going stir-crazy for a little sun and open sky.

Thanks a bunch for the props, my man! I'm glad that you dig my sound. I am familiar with Tom Waits, actually. He is one seriously talented dude.

I wanna be able to hear with an eye!

How'd you get that super power anyway? Psions can exchange sensory organs for different senses (such as tasting sound and hearing light) ... are you a psion? Anyway, I like what you did with this, and this part might be offensive.... but for some reason I hear a little bit of some Donkey Kong in there! Not like an actual tune, but the feel of DK music.... anyhow (actually, I downloaded a piano piece called "A piano's testimony" and that sounded a little chrono triggery!) I like the freshness of the spin, once again.... 5/5 Keep it up ninja!

ChronoNomad responds:

Nope, I'm not a psion...at least, I wasn't the last time I checked. No offense taken from the DK comment at all; lots of great music has come out of that franchise. I'm guessing it's the percussion that gives you that vibe, am I right?

I've done a lot of Chrono Trigger mixes, and I recently finished a new one that was done as a request: Lucca's Theme. The title will be "Ashtear" when I make the submission. Look out for it in the next week or so...and many, many thanks for all these fabulous reviews! Now, excuse me whilst I fade into the shadows like the ninja that I am...

Damn Right!

This is more than justice! Little did you know that I too am a huge fan of the piano and regularly look for good pieces on NG. It's far better when the piece strikes that 8-year-old jammin' some CT chord! Thanks for quotin' my shit too! That's a bitch I've had for seven years now and finally no more! You know I'm givin' it a 5 and downloading it! Thanks again guy, it came out better than I expected, which is strange because I expected that...

ChronoNomad responds:

Well, all right! I guess I exceeded your expected expectations, huh? There's certainly nothing wrong with that. A fellow lover of piano is always welcome since I do tend to incorporate at least a little piano into damn near everything I put out.

What sucks is that right after submitting the song someone was kind enough to zero bomb the hell out of it. It would be awesome if you would come back from time to time and offer more props by way of balancing the vote.

I always love a good challenge, and this was a great piece to dive into. Thanks again, and receiving perfect marks makes it all worthwhile!

Good Jam

My take on zero bombers... Don't produce shitty music and your ass won't get bombed, keep in mind that some "artists" deserve it! Anyway, I like the little soothing beat, but It seems like it could be a bit louder... but I think that might take away from the jam. Still, pretty fuckin' good like all of your other works.

ChronoNomad responds:

Many thanks yet again! It's pretty awesome to know that someone out there appreciates the jams I put down.

Incidentally, I'm currently working on that suggestion you made for a version of Robo's Theme. It's not finished yet, but maybe another week or two will see it completed and uploaded here on Newgrounds...provided all goes well. Keep your eyes peeled for it!

Very Good

It's so awesome... one problem, even though it's your second, I need a little more length friend. 5/5

KryDotExe responds:

First time somebody says it's awesome :D

Ah yes! an excellent piece!

But the real question is did you play Lunar 2 Eternal Blue? A great game in it's own right, much harder than the first, but shorter than the first. If you did play 2, I'd like to here what you could do with Leo's "justice" theme! props man, takes me back!

SquattingDog88101 responds:

I never got around to play part 2 but always wanted to. I kind of cheated and just watched the cutscenes. Ill play it eventually and if I cover the Justice theme then you will be the 1st to hear it.

And one and two, pick it up ladies!

I thought it was good, and I've been complaining a lot here on NG about a decent Robo theme. I deducted points because it's too short! You should do more with it to make it a little bit longer... that would be dope shit!

Consider it homie, consider it....

Realmguys responds:

Perhaps it is time for a new version ;) Thanks for the review and feedback.

I think people w/ bad ears shouldn't review

I can clearly make out the wind instruments, and the piano is very audible. Between the two, I would say the wind is the softest (which is how it should be) and the piano is quite pronounced! Have you ever heard music or songs that just seem empty? This is usually because there are no BG instruments to speak of! NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO SCREAM IN YOUR FUCKING EARS!!! UNTIL THEY BLEED!! Sorry, this isn't really directed at you. I just thought this was too good for Neo-Fusion to give it a bad rap. Downloading will commence in 3, 2, 1.......

Realmguys responds:

Haha, thank you very much for going to bat for me on this one. I feel like I agree with most criticism I get with this one, yours and Neo's included. There are things that are too quite and things that are mudded into the background. If I could go back I would have taken a different approach to tracking and voicing this out. I really appreciate the feedback and review! I'm very glad you liked the quite approach, I sure did back when I made it :) Thx for the DL as well!

Oh yeah!

Well.... yeah! IT IS GOOD YOU PIECE OF FUCKIN' WORTHLESS TRASH! So if I compliment your work but put you down, it's still all the same right? Yeah bitch, that's what I thought Mutha Fackoo! But in all seriousness homie, you just got a 10/10 a 5/5 and a mutha fuckin' download! Thank you for making my day, and bringing new freshness to sooth my earholes whilst I jam down some D&D wit da fam! By the way, I love the break midway for the record static, awesome!

P.S. For the love of god! Do a remix of Robo's theme if you should find the time, or boredom, I would dig the shit out of it! And so would everyone else!

Much Clown Luv

Gario responds:

Fuckin' remixes, how do they work?

/obligatory ICP joke

(it can't be helped, I had to do it :P)

Seriously though, thanks for the review. Personally I'm glad you liked the static, since that was one of the more entertaining aspects of the remix for me :)
